With 12 miles of tulips stretching through Holland's neighborhoods, including the historic district make for a popular drive-thru experience.  Curbside plantings wind through the most picturesque portion which features flowering Kwanzan cherry, crab and plumb trees along Washington Ave. and 12th St. boulevards.

CENTENNIAL PARK    48.000+ tulips
Centennial Park is a 5.6 acre park located at 10th Street and River Avenue in the heart of downtown Holland.  This Victorian-style park has a traditional Dutch fountain, winding pathways and gazebo encircled with brightly colored tulips. A small koi pond is located near the center of the park. There are benches as well as plenty of grass to set up a blanket to take some time for a picnic  There are port-a-potties if needed.

Downtown Holland     37,400 tulips
Named one of “America’s Prettiest Towns” by Forbes Magazine, and an “All-American City” by the National Civic League, downtown Holland’s cobblestone sidewalks line the streets with over 100 unique and locally owned shops, galleries, eateries, and brew pubs.  Beautiful plantings in beds and planters are dotted throughout the historic downtown

Window on the Waterfront Tulips
Window on the Waterfront features over 100,000 tulips! It has a large field and features several paths that wind through the park that make for amazing photo opportunities. Benches are sprinkled about the area to relax and enjoy the view.

Windmill Island Tulips
Over 100,000 tulips bloom
No stop in Holland is complete without a visit to Windmill Island Gardens. Tour De Zwaan (meaning graceful bird), the only authentic Dutch windmill operating in the United States – still turning and grinding wheat into flour! The windmill reaches 125 feet from the ground to the top of the blades, and towers over 36 acres of gardens, dikes, canals, and picnic areas.  Other Dutch treasures include a street organ gifted by the City of Amsterdam and a hand-painted antique carousel, a water exhibit, and Little Netherlands – a maquette of Dutch life in the 1840s when Holland was settled. Many buildings are replicas of those found in the Netherlands including the ones housing a gift shop where you can pick up an authentic Dutch treat!  Costumed guides will be there to answer questions.
